Wouldn't it be amazing if the Internet Archive's staff might figure out that people looking for an issue of the Scientific American do not do this by randomly examining them, issue by issue? If one seeks volume 48, then "based on metadata" does not really become helpful, when the results include volumes 25, 45, 46, and 47. The concept of identifying the volumes in a catalog appears to be beyond their comprehension.
Why donate to the Internet Archive, when their efforts are aimed at amassing publications and failing to provide for their proper identification and a useful catalog for finding the wanted publication?
